If you are not familiar with historical New Orleans architecture, a shotgun house is one where one room flows into the next, like a railroad apartment, which is good for air circulation throughout the length of the house. The name comes from the saying that you could shot a shotgun from the front door straight out through the back door.
Image is silkscreened onto the clay with colored slip (wet clay) and then covered with a clear glaze. The image can never scrape off since it is under the glaze.
