Gaston the Rooster
The original Frenchmen Rooster collection has been sold. I've created a new piece that is similar but smaller.
Dims: 10" x 6 1/2"W. Projects off the wall 3 1/2"D
This is a hollow ceramic mask with full back with holes for easily hanging on a secured, projecting screw on the wall.
I handbuilt this piece and hand painted 3 layers of colored slip (wet clay) onto the surface as decoration. Beneath this the raw colored clay body is visible. The mask can hang outside, and it would prefer to exist in temperatures that are above freezing.
